Winter Fundraiser
Today is the last day to get your orders in for FTC’s winter fundraiser from EPI. We can still accept orders if your child brings it to school on Tuesday, or you can order online at www.epifunds.com. Please see flyer for details.

Holiday Shoppe
FTC is going to have the Holiday Shoppe again this year from Dec. 12-16. At this event the children got to pick out reasonably-priced gifts for family members and friends. It is held at the schools during school hours so the gifts can be a surprise for family members. More information about the sale will be sent after Thanksgiving break.

We need volunteers to help make the Holiday Shoppe a success. We are looking for people to volunteer for 2 hour shifts. Please see flyer for details, and contact Kate Beckwith ([email protected]) if interested. This is a great way to see the kids having fun and help spread some holiday cheer!

This year we are adding handmade items to the sale. If you are interested in contributing items that would be sold for $.25-$10 please contact Julie Tobias ([email protected])  or review the flyer for further details.

Michael Anthony’s Dine Out

This Wednesday, Nov. 9 from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. is the Michael Anthony’s dine out. Please either bring in your flyer or mention the school district when ordering. A great chance to get some wonderful food, get out of cooking for the day and support the schools at the same time!

FTC Cares

FTC Cares provides holiday meals for district families who need some help. Last year donors were very generous in their support of this program. Please consider making a donation to help us provide these holiday meals, as well as other necessary items for the district’s neediest families. Envelopes can be sent to the school marked ‘FTC Cares” by this Wednesday, Nov. 9.   See flyer for details.

Winter Fundraiser

You should have received an envelope with catalogues and an order form for FTC’s winter fundraiser from EPI. There are a lot of items perfect for gift giving – or just for yourself!  You can order online from epifunds.com or send in your order form. The order deadline is Monday, November 14.

Halloween Room Parties
A big thank you to all the Room Party Helpers who volunteered for the Halloween room parties at Salt Creek and Swartz. The kids had a frightfully good time!

  • Halloween Room Parties
    The room parties for preschool – 4th grade are today at 2:15 p.m. There is a costume parade at Salt Creek and Swartz, which parents are welcome to attend, but only people who have signed up to be room parents and are on the party list may stay to help with the room parties.
  • FTC Cares
    FTC started a Feed a Family program several years ago that has provided 33 holiday meals for district families that needed some assistance. We are continuing this program, but have renamed it and expanded it to include funding of necessary items for families in need, such as the recent funding of shoes for a girl whose family couldn’t afford them. Please consider a donation to this fund for the holidays.  See flyer for details.
  • Michael Anthony’s Dine Out
    The Michael Anthony’s dine out is coming up next week – Wednesday, November 9. Get some great food and support Dist. 48 at the same time!  See flyer for details.
  • EPI Fundraiser
    Please look for a fundraiser packet from EPI in your child’s backpack, which should be coming to you in the next week.
  • Celebration of Mind/Scholastic Book Fair
    We want to thank all district families who came to the Celebration of Mind event and supported the Scholastic Book Fair last week, as well as the volunteers who helped with these events.

  • Celebration of Mind/Scholastic Book Fair
    Please mark your calendars for Wednesday, Oct. 26, for Celebration of Mind and the Scholastic Book Fair. Celebration of Mind is taking place from 6-8 p.m. and the book fair is going from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Both events are at Albright Middle School, and provide a fun way to enrich your mind!

  • Can You Volunteer?
    Can you or your 7th/8th grade student volunteer for Celebration of Mind? We are looking for people to volunteer for one hour shifts facilitating exhibit tables at the event.  Click here for more details.
  • Clubs Choice Pick Up
    Thank you to all the families who supported our Clubs Choice fundraiser. Pick up will occur at the same date and time as Celebration of Mind – Wednesday, Oct. 26 from 6-8 p.m.. Pick up will be in the Albright cafeteria.
  • Box Tops
    Please send in any Box Tops you have, as Friday is the deadline to get them in for this cycle. Just put them in a baggie and send to school with your child and they will make their way to our Box Tops Coordinators. Thank you for your support of this program – it makes hundreds of dollars a year for the schools.

McTeacher’s Night is going to be held on Monday, Sept. 26, from 5-8 p.m. Please note the date change from the calendar. You must bring the fundraiser voucher for Dist. 48 to get credit! It’s a fun evening to see district friends and get a night off cooking!

Family FTC Forms Due Friday!

The Directory and Membership Form must be turned in by this Friday, Sept. 23, if you want to be included in the directory and receive a copy of the directory. Voluntary Fee and Donation Forms, as well as Welcome Committee forms and Volunteer forms are also do by Friday.

Additional copies of the Directory and Voluntary Fee and Donation forms were sent home with students this week – please check backpacks! The Membership and Directory form is also available online by clicking here. The Volunteer form and Voluntary Fee and Donation Form are also available on the FTC website here.

Spiritwear Orders Due 9/9!

Who’s got District 48 Spirit?   WE DO and you can too!

Order your District 48 Spirit Wear. Complete the order form, put the order form and payment in an envelope marked “FTC Spirit Wear” and send it to school with your child by Friday September 9. Orders will be delivered to your student on Friday September 23.
